What does the PHO do for me?

The PHO:

• Negotiates risk contracts on your behalf
• Creates opportunities for withhold returns, surplus and incentive monies
• Provides timely data analysis reports (managed care) with aggregated data across all HMO payors
• Offers educational programs for you and your staff (e.g. medical practice management)
• Acts as a liaison between you and insurers for enrollment/credentialing, claims processing and referral issues
• Provides medical management expertise and coordinates efforts with payors
• Provides support from physician advocates who participate in the governance of the organization
• Sends regular updates on what is happening in the medical community
