A Partnership of MaineHealth and the Maine Physician Hospital Organization

The MaineHealth Learning Community [MHLC] has partnered with QuantiaMD, an online medical education portal, to create a private community for our members. This community will provide you with opportunities to participate in MHLC-sponsored interactive educational outreach sessions from the comfort of your home or practice.

Our private community will also link to other educational segments including:

  • Grand Rounds presentations
  • Case challenges
  • Research updates
  • Discussions with other clinicians in your field of practice or study
  • Most sessions are CME approved

Educational segments can also be viewed on your mobile phone or device through QuantiaMD's unique mobile application.

  • Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment [POLST]
POLST is designed to improve the quality of care people receive toward the end of life. Based on effective communication of a patient's treatment wishes and goals of care, a POLST program documents treatment preference and accomplishes two major purposes: 1) converts patient wishes into an actionable medical order; 2) is portable from one care setting to another. The State of Maine plans to adopt a standard POLST Form. This module will review everything you need to know about POLST and how to implement it in your area. CMEs will be applied for this program.
